    ROSE—Scott L. Ferguson, 53, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at home after an extended illness.

    Family and friends called Monday (May 23) from 5 to 8 p.m. at Weeks-Keysor Funeral Home, 5 Phelps St., Lyons, where a funeral service was held Tuesday (May 24) at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

    Contributions may be made to Humane Society of Wayne, 1475 County House Rd., Lyons, NY 14489 in his memory.

    Scott was born August 27, 1962 in Sodus, a son to the late Earl V. and Sandra Huff Ferguson. As a 1981 graduate of Sodus Central School, Scott served proudly in the Air Force from 1981 to 1991.

    A man of great character, he was always quick to help others in their time of need. Scott won the heart of his beloved wife, Elizabeth, while serving in Italy, and they married on November 23, 1983. He worked at Garlock in Palmyra until his disablement.

    Predeceased by his sister, Tammy Ferguson; nephew, Travis; and niece, Angela.

    Survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Hanneman Ferguson; son, Samual Ferguson (Becca Mento); daughter, Nicole (Andrew) Young; grandchildren, Brian,Johnathan, Olivia and Eli; siblings, Mark (Kathy) Ferguson, Roger (Robin) Ferguson, Sam (Kelly) Ferguson, Bryan (Mary Lou) Hanneman, Tricia (Larry) Roux, Nancy (Tim) Anderson, Lisa (David) Pickelheimer and Dana (John) Hopkins; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and granddog, Molly Rose.
