Sodus Board of Education Hosts Community Information Night

    By on March 2, 2016

Recently, the current Sodus superintendent, Mr. Martin Cox, announced his appointment as superintendent of the Clarkstown Central School District, effective July 1, 2016. We wish him well in this new endeavor.

On February 10, 2016, the Sodus Board of Education appointed Mr. Scott Bischoping, District Superintendent of the Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES, as our superintendent search consultant. In this role, Mr. Bischoping will be facilitating the Board in one of their most important responsibilities – hiring a superintendent of schools.

Part of the search process includes a superintendent search survey. As community members, your input is a very important part of a successful search. The superintendent search survey will allow you the opportunity to provide the Board of Education important input on the qualities that you seek in a new superintendent. To access this survey tool, visit our web site (http://www.soduscsd.org), or go directly to http://goo.gl/forms/BhxavuPcIP, or pick up a hard copy in any school office or the Sodus Community Library.

While the selection of a superintendent is the School Board’s decision, your participation and contributions are a very valuable part of this process.

The Sodus community is invited to attend a Community Information Night on March 10, 2016, from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. in the Sodus Board of Education meeting room. During this time, the Board of Education, along with the search consultants, will outline the superintendent search process and answer any questions you may have. All are encouraged to attend.

    Join in on the conversation.
