A headline in the Fair Haven Register, May 7, 1914, stated that Fair Haven soon would have a movie house. A.W. Rossman had bought an “outfit” and had positioned it in Central Hall. By Sept. 4, 1919, a movie named Selfish Yates with William S. Hart was scheduled. The movie house, named the Adelphia Theatre, had sold 2000 tickets during the month of August of that year.
