Fair Haven Arts Center Celebrates the Season

What could be better on a cold winter night than….I’m sure you were thinking a community sing-along. The Fair Haven Arts Center agrees. On Thursday, December 3rd, the Center will host Dan Duggan and Peggy Lynn for its first informal community sing-along at 7 p.m. at the 1864 House (562 Main Street).

“We thought the holidays would be a good time to start,” said Fair Haven Arts Center President, Susan Lemon. Lemon said that the center hopes to sponsor more community sings in the future with rotating song lists. All ages are welcome and encouraged to bring their favorite song.

And on the bright side, at least two of participants can carry a tune. Duggan and Lynn need no introduction in the Red Creek and Fair Haven communities. Award winning musicians and songwriters, they will, no doubt, bring their usual up-beat energy to the event.

In addition the community sing-along, the Fair Haven Arts Center is also offering a Christmas Wreath Making class on Monday, November 30th featuring Carrie Bolton. The event is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Take Carrie Bolton’s Workshop and leave with a beautiful evergreen wreath that you have created yourself. All supplies provided including a professionally made bow, wire frame, paddle wire and natural evergreen materials. Learn a valuable skill that you can adapt for all kinds of wreaths. There is a fee and includes all materials.
