    Felony DWI

    The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Douglas C. Aucter, 54, of Terpening Road, Clyde, for felony DWI, felony DWI with BAC of .08 or greater, Fail to give breath test and Driving left of hillcrest or curve in a road.

    Police were called by a business in the Town of Arcadia when employees stated Aucter came there in an apparent intoxicated condition. Employees notified police of the vehicle description and a license plate number when Aucter left.

    Deputies located the vehicle turning onto Terpening Rd and observed Aucter pulling into his driveway. While speaking with Aucter the investigation revealed he was in an intoxicated condition and he was placed under arrest.

    Aucter was arraigned in the Town of Galen before the Honorable Justice Carol Heald and remanded to the Wayne County jail with no bail. Aucter has 6 previous felony convictions of which 1 was previous felony DWI conviction within the last 10 years.

    The Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the New York State Police.
